fab service from bugaboostollers

we are city dwellers with no car...so this is our car equivalent. Its light, flexible, taking us from infant to bigger, from carriage style to stroller, But the best thing was the service from Bugaboostrollers. I had ordered the bee from a CSN store two months ago, naively believing they would deliver me one when they arrived in the US, a month before I was due. They gave me the complete runaround several times, the date got later and later until they told me I'd get the stroller after my due date. I got online, spoke to some really helpful people at bugaboostrollers, and the bee was on the delivery truck that afternoon! Hooray....!

Good, but not great

We like the Bee for many reasons but find ourselves disenchanted with two things. First, when opening the Bee, the handle bars tend to slip on one side or the other, even with the locks closed. Second, if you put the seat facing backwards and try to fold the Bee up it folds very, very awkwardly and flops around when you try to carry it ... not very convenient at all. The Bee is OK for city living but not really convenient for taking in and out of a car.

Comments from The Staff:

I have contacted the manufacturer with your concerns. Please find their response below. Thanks!.

The Bugaboo Bee has a one-piece foldable design that is easy to fold.
Step 1: Make sure the backrest is parallel to the handlebar
Step 2: Press the secondary lock on the handlebar down while lifting the folding locks upwards. This will release the folding mechanism.

Love the Bee

I received the Bee as a gift and I love it! It's great that you can switch the seat from facing in to out and that the seat fully reclines. It's got fabulous suspension, it's narrow and very light. I would have never bought myself such an expensive stroller, but I'm sure glad someone was generous enough to give me one as a gift. I can't wait to get the footmuff for those foggy SF days.

Bugaboo Bee is light and easy to use. It's excelle

We are really happy with the Bugaboo Bee. Not only does it have so much versatility, but it rides smoothly and handles well, too. As first-time parents, we are not already stroller pros, but we managed to change this one around pretty easily (front-facing to back-facing, folding and unfolding, recline, etc.). Plus it's compact enough that it's easy to handle, folded and unfolded. Compared to the other Bugaboo's I understand that this has different wheels. These wheels work great. It's a soft ride and Harvey seems to love it! The Bugaboo Bee is worth the money because we'll be able to use it as long as we need a stroller (up to 37 lbs) and because it's so easy to use, both in terms of maneuverability and changeability. Not only is this a great stroller, but the service we received from Bugaboostrollers.com exceeded my expectations. I think the Bee was a new product so the website said that it wouldn't ship until 9/1. I was thrilled when it arrived on the first day after the long Labor Day weekend (Tuesday, 9/4). Overall, it's a light, good looking, well made stroller. I highly recommend it and I recommend buying it from BugabooStrollers.com.

If I had only known

We currently own the chameleon. If we had only known the bee would become available. The bee is more practicle especially for city dwellers as ourselves. The chameleon is too bulky to take on the L or in a taxi...if your going to spend a bundle on a bugy it should be fit for any occasion. The bee is the way to go!

Question for owners!

I have a chameleon and love it! However, it's a pain when traveling. I am considering the Bee, but need to know if it will sit upright. The chameleon sits straight up and my son hates to be reclined at all. Thanks to anyone who can help!

i love our new bee! it is everything that i had hoped for. we never thought that we'd be bugaboo parents (we're not into the status symbol-thing) but it had everything that we wanted and needed for the city. it is super narrow and I don't feel like we are taking up too much space. the only criticism is that the shade doesn't cover much especially when it is reclined all of the way which is a problem on hot and sunny days. i will check out the sunshade when it is available, but i'd hoped not to spend any more money. otherwise, we couldn't be happier!

Bugaboo Bee is Fab!

So far I love my new Bugaboo Bee and wanted to let everyone know it is a great stroller. I'm happy to report it is meeting my expectations (which were super high to begin with) and some. It's everything you want in a full-sized stroller, but comes in a convenient small package. Plus, it handles as well as my beloved Bob jogger (which is amazing). I told my husband just prior to learning about the Bee, that if someone came out with something light weight, compact, super sturdy, that fully reclined and still had a good under storage all while providing me with an ultra-smooth, suspension filled ride similar to what I get with my Bob stroller, then I would pay any price (within reason) for such a stroller. And voila! Bugaboo came to my rescue with a wonderful stroller which does all that. It?s a bit early to declare my love for this stroller, but so far I really am glad I made the purchase. Hope this helps others considering the Bee. Enjoy!

Looks great but...

Purchased the Bee and was very excited to have the compact stroller since I already have the chameleon. Must say I was disappointed because the seat is too narrow and for an "umbrella" type stroller, it is still as much work closing it as the chameleon without the 2 pieces. Looks wise it is very sharp but not worth the money and I don't know how a toddler would fit into that seat. Save the money for an actual "compact" stroller.
