Reviews for Bugaboo Bee 2009 stroller
Handles Beautifully - If You Can Figure it Out

After having three children and trying many different strollers and brands, I finally found the perfect ride with the Bugaboo Bee. For use in the mall and other shopping centers, this stroller is the perfect choice. The only complaint that I have is the Bee is difficult to open and close. I had it in the trunk of my car for a month before my husband could lug it out and explain it to me - and even then I had trouble remembering how to open and close it. Aside from that, this stroller is like pushing a cloud; you can practically maneuver it with two fingers. Totally worth the price. The DVD is not helpful; it is done in pantomime, as to be understood by consumers worldwide. A good idea, but it doesn't deliver in getting instructions across.

I purchased the Bee for my 7 month old daughter. It was very easy to assemble. She loves sitting in it, however I wish it was a little wider. That is the only negative of the stroller and that is why I gave it 4 stars and not 5.

Love My Bee!!!

I just had my 4th child (3 months old) and I can't tell you how many strollers I have been through. At least 7. All very high end brands. I have to say this is the best one by far. I can manouver it with one finger. It is light and fits though every narrow space I've tried....especially cramped stores. The fold can be tricky (the release button took 2 hands on one bar at first), I beleive it is getting easier with use.I get so many compliments on it too. I would have loved for the car seat attachment to have been available already as there would be times that it would be easier to keep him in the car seat. When they do come out this stroller will be a dream. My son currently faces me and is very snug due to the side wings. These are still a little stiff and get in the way but will get better with use I'm sure. I beleive the wings come off too..but he likes them. I bought the footmuff instead of the infant nest and it works just as well as far as I'm concerned. I would and I am recommending this stroller to anyone who asks about it. My 2 1/2 year old likes to sneak rides in it too. She says she would like her own and I have had a hard time keeping her in strollers. I would have given 5 stars if it weren't for the button on the release being so stiff and hard on the thumbs.
The basket underneath has ample room too.

I purchased bugaboo bee for my three months old son. He is a big boy and it's a pity I didn't get it sooner, he will grow out of it very soon. however, the stroller is excellent, easy to push with one hand and very light to carry up and down the stairs. It's a great stroller for the city and has a cool design. Buy it sooner if you have a big baby.

This stroller seems to be everything I wanted in the cameleon without the hassles of taking it all apart all the time! It is lightweight, one compact unit and seems to move like a dream. The underseat bag is a dream, all in all I wish they had this before I bought my denim cameleon because I probably would have just stayed with the BEE!!! so happy I bought it!

Bugaboo Bee Stroller

The stroller works as well as all of the other Bugaboo strollers, but I was hoping it would be a little more portable. It folds easily and flattens well, but it's not an umbrella stroller. 5 stars for ease of use, 4 for compacted size.

Pretty good, but has some limitations.

I received my Bee 4 weeks ago and am generally really pleased with it for my 5 month old. It is silent, light and extremely easy to maneuver. I like that he can face me at this young age. My biggest criticism is that I expect my son will outgrow it by the time he's around two. It's extremely narrow due to the side wings which is only made worse when you put the foot muff on. He doesn't mind now that he's only 5 months, but I can see it being a problem into toddler hood. The Bee says it can last for kids up to 4 years old, but I can't see how this is possible. He will also outgrow the height as I can see the canopy not allowing any headroom for a 4 year old. I live in London, and love the Bee for tackling public transport here. It's light to lift and has a small footprint. I am enjoying the Bee and think it's a great stroller, but I recommend getting it for a baby and not toddler as I believe it will be outgrown very quickly. Which is disappointing, because for the price I would have expected to use it for much longer. My advice is buy it for the 4 month to two year time frame. It is a great stroller, but has some limitations.

What is it about the Bugaboo?

I am on my second one! I just ordered the yellow bee. I really love my frog but it drives me nuts sometimes because it's so big and it doesn't fold down in one piece. Sure I could have bought another brand, but there's just no way I'd put my little princess in anything less! I'm going to hang on to my beloved frog for those long walks to the park and just use the bee for travel and shopping.
